I lived in the dorms during my freshman year of college, and with
only a small fridge the size of a
microwave and no kitchen, I purchased a
meal plan and ate most of my lunches and dinners in the dining hall.
As I am
only home in the evening, as a vegetarian, I rely heavily on packed
meals that don't need (
microwave) warming up.
Most Mexican made
meals just need to be seasoned, since the food already comes prepared and
only requires you to heat it up either on the stove or
microwave oven.
If someone were to tell me they use a
microwave to cook 90 % of their food, though, my
only concern would be that they are most likely eating a lot of high - calorie, sodium - laden prepared frozen
meals.
