Microwave assisted thermal sterilisation has been
used for disinfestation of fruit fly infected fruit and
vegetables with some initial success and may be suitable for a wider range of products, insects and postharvest plant pathogens.
I did
use the
vegetables from frozen, but then it took about 45 minutes to bake, so I may defrost them in the
microwave instead next time.
Eat these
vegetables raw or cook them without added fat
using methods such as steaming or
microwaving.
You can get creative and
use vegetables (mainly portobello mushrooms) as the buns, or we can even
use a low - carb hamburger bun that's cooked in the
microwave — easy peasy!
FYI, crockpots and
microwaves are more energy - efficient, and you'll
use no extra energy at all if you're just chopping up
vegetables for a salad.
