You can still compliment these 5 defenders (3 CD and 2 wing - backs) with 1 defensive
midfield player giving you 6 defensive players.

midfielder with the ability to dribble, fast but having a good
players is not only enough, hard training for stamina, strength as a team to continuously press on the opponents not to
give them time and space to settle and win the ball, go fast to the goal destabilize the defense, fiercely fight around the goal to create a space and shoot on goal with the strong power and on target needed and wenger also has to be hard and serious for the accomplishment of this.as we have seen with such a spirit even with the defence all reserve we won FA CUP

Bottom line, if he is angered bench the
players who were not good enough and play those who deserve some game time based on the Southampton game or on games where they had a positive impact: - Take Özil out and play Ox in the hole (he has to understand your the highest paid
player of the club, your
given freedom like nobody else and your even seeking even more money with a new contract you can't play like that ever and go AWOL)- Put Sanchez on the wing or up top but put Welbeck in (Walcott didn't track back near enough for the Alsonso goal)- Iwobi has been bright from the wing let him play there - Xhaka has to go back in the holding
midfield role and I would take out Coquelin because he could've taken a foul on the hazard's goal.
Reading the thread on this article and I noticed a lot of people naming strikers we could have gotten in past transfer windows that have gone to other club and failed, Balotelli, Falcao, Martinez, Boney etc are recurring names in all the comments, and am sat here thinking because they failed in thee clubs does not necessarily mean they would have failed if we had pulled out our fingers and hot them back then, Balotelli aside I strongly believe all of these
players could have made a difference playing infront of our
midfield and
given the kind of attention and care Wenger
gives Giroud and Walcott, adapting our play to suit them and
giving them chances after chances even when its blatantly obvious they are average
players so please lets not keep using that as an excuse for Wenger's ultra careful attitude in the transfer market, they could have failed with us, or they could have been massive for us, all speculations.

Given that Isco is one of the most in - form creative

players like Andres Iniesta of Barcelona would be a massive adding to our
midfield, he wants to leave Barca, he wants new challenge, we could make him come to Arsenal, and
give him up to 280 weakly wages and take him for 2 years, but with Wenger our coach i doubt it, Getting a Deffensive

corzola is very good at
giving us good control when we are up against teams that stand off our

midfield on his own, wenger should blow all of his next summers budget signing pogba, even if it takes everything we got the kid is the best young c / m in the world atm.

Bellerin and Monreal is always almost on the corner line crossing ball's, we are always leaving defense bankrupt and vulnerable for a take over, by the time Monreal and Bellerin return to their station they have just sprinted the whole of the pitch to make a defensive tackle sometimes coming in from behind the

giving a penalty or just outside for a free kick which we can not defend set peaces, if we are to use them some

In the
midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured
player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average
players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average
players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he
gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary
players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Okay Spurs are missing probably their best centre back Toby Alderweireld and his Belgian international team mate from

They had a five - on - three break running with the rest of the Juventus

Give him some rest for PSG But I think most of the
players playing Southampton will play PSG I think we should make good use of our Central
Midfielders for both matches because we have plenty of quality
players: Ozil, Cazorla, Xhaka, Coquelin and Eleney We have only 3 CBs available at the moment Koscielny, Mustafi and Holding
lst season at stamford bridge, was the first time i saw that 4 -1-4-1 formation being used, and for some weird reason i feel a very strange negative vibe and well all know the outcome.the manager has come back with this formation and its not yielding result, but he still sticks with it.i do nt know much about formations dear friends, but if you are playing a slow dm in arteta and a very very slow cb, then you are toast against quality teams with sound tactics.wen playing wellbeck as a lone striker, i think 4 -2-3-1, will work better, but if we have a big
player like oliver (boooos), thn we can try the 4 -1-4-1, thingy cos he can hold the ball for our
midfielders to run in.but on the overall, shame on wenger for not
giving our defence a good cover DM.NO BODY PLAYS A SLOW DM / CB AND EXPECT TO B REGARDED AS CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL.IT HURTS GUYS, REALLY HURTS.
Chelsea is champion but the will buy De Griezman from Atletico de Madrid they have the best defence in the league, the best
Midfield in the league with De Griezman, hazard and Costa they will be came invecibles that what Mourinho want to take from Wenger and do not forget that Wenger will never beat Mourinho, we just need 3 world class
players just like Henry said, But Wenger have no ambitions to win the league, next year will be the same excuses why we fail again, Mourinho sold Mata even so he was voted the best Chelsea
player the previous two years, and Wenger want to keep ineffective
players like Walcott, Wiltshere, Diaby, Flamini, Ryo.Sanogo.Welbeck, sad but that is our fate with Wenger only problem for us the risk of loosing
player like Alexis will be great if we do not win next year, we must to buy like Henry said, like Carzola is saying, we lost so many good
players because they want to win and they are winning with others clubs.why we do not
give ouself a chance of winning the EPL?
This is a waste of a physically light
player in the very physical Premier League; the 4 -4-2 formationwould surround Ozil with 5 fast
players to run onto his through balls,
giving our
midfield and forward
players the opportunity to be where they need to be both to score goals and to benefit from the silky passes we know Ozil is capable of.
He's predominantly a left - winger but can play across any of the attacking
midfield positions so he'd certainly
give Wenger plenty of options in the final third if he was to move to the Emirates this summer — although the report says Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in the
player so we could face stiff competition.
Coquelin did all the dirty work in
midfield, tracking back, being the first defender and covering at the back to
give time for the more forward
players to come help and for the defence to organise (Mertesacker never found himself outrun... against City) breaking up plays and cleanly passing the ball forward!!
Our 3 back is just so wrong. We don't have natural wingbacks even in this formation. It also seems to me that lots of people here believe if you're good at right or left fullback then automatically you're good at RWB / LWB which quite frankly is untrue. That's why Oxlade Chamberlain can be considered at RWB but not right back.At RWB or LWB you're asking too much in terms of attack from Bellerin and Kolasinac.A proper wing back can be viewed as a more defensive winger which quite frankly none of them are and they don't possess the flexibility too to play that way.Our
midfielders are also not disciplined enough because in 3 back there's a huge gap in the centre of the field that must be covered by our CM's so indiscipline only means disaster. We also have Ozil who looks like he's playing at RW in 3 back.In that we're limiting his impact because Ozil takes on his man because he wants to not because he likes to.You can't play such
players at the wing. He's a proper No. 10 who likes to be
given freedom. That's why Ozil plays likes he's lazy on the ball and stuff. It's because he wants to be free and for that you need to put him at No. 10.
Please, do not
give me excuses about injuries etc, we have had those the most since 2004, who to blame than Wenger, who has overplayed and played
players in wrong position and did not purchase the RIGHT
players in RIGHT places during summer, defensive
midfield player and center back to cover Verminator.
The boss was thought to be ready to
give up on the injury ravaged
midfielder making it as an Arsenal
player and so when Jack failed to control himself on Monday night at the Emirates many thought it had sealed his fate, but the report claims that the sending off has not had influened Wenger, who has decided to
give the 25 - year old another chance with the Gunners.
Considering our
midfield is packed already, and
given the youthful ages of the likes of our defensive
players (Elneny, Coquelin, and Xhaka), I doubt he'll get any game time in the near future anyway.
We are also said to have first refusal on the attacking
midfielder, so if another club does decide to offer Madrid morte money for their
player then Arsene Wenger would be
given the option to match it and still get his man.
The only thing which makes our team unbalanced is playing the luxury item we bought called ozil.I thought he would need time to adjust to physicality of premier league so i supported him, but the guy hasn't improved he tries to dribble past ppl but runs into them somehow, tries to do showboating at unnecessary time which he fails to do miserably. And i see him
giving too many back passes when he should drive forward. And the biggest reason i stopped liking him as a
player is bcoz of his sulky attitude. No passion or drive for the club, as if he wanted to be at some other club and is just doing the job without his heart in it.He neeeds to be placed on the bench and make him work hard to retain his place.Ramsey and coq in middle with ox and sanchez on both wing and cazorla as cam will make us a more balanced
midfield.
Sport are reporting that Turkish international Arda Turan is being allowed to leave the Catalan giants in the winter transfer window, and with the Daily Mail stating that the north London side are interested in the
midfielder, it seems as if Arsenal's hopes of landing the
player may have been
given a boost.
Obviously the boss would love to be able to call on the old WQilshere who once
gave a football lesson to a grteat Barcelona team which included
midfield maetro's like Xavi and Iniesta, but a large section of the Arsenal fanbase have come to accept that Jack is one of those
players that may never achieve their true potential.
@TH14atl the list of the
players you
gave me were
players who were naturally central
midfielders but could play in cmf position and you also
gave me no 10's who could also play cmf so i do not get your take. However did you see that they were being played in their best positions.I am also against Ramsey on the wing but i will not be blinded by the fact that if he should be put in box to box role he will be better than santi in that role. But from what you said i think we might just sell cant we.Have you forgotten the man utd match last season where peeps were like O!
However I can not understand why, if true, that Arsenal would even be considering the signing of yet another young
midfielder,
given we already have so many of the same style of
player already on our books.
wenger needs to broaden his thinking and horizon... and think beyond sanchez, so many
players can replace him, carrasaco, even baruwa (of lipstik) whom we just saw in the emirates cup, dembele etc... i just watched liverpool trash bayern... liverpool have always has a sharp attack, now their defence seems solid... wenger is just a straight jacket, i do nt care what others are doing, i know it all coach and it will really hurt come begining of season, unless he prunes his pride and look over the wall at what his competitors are doing that is strengthing the weakness and planning ahead... our
midfield was weak and indeed still is... we glad about lacazzete, but unless our defence
gives 110 all games, and we look at life beyond sanchez... we will have our fellings hurt this season
So wait a minute. Are Arsenal looking for a defensive
midfielder or a box to box
player.I'm really disappointed in Xhaka's defending. He's very good with his long passing but I don't think he's the best option when it comes to box to box.In Arsenal he's normally used as the defensive
midfielder particular deep lying playmaker and this actually means that we need someone who is fantastic at attacking and can also do very well defensively so as to compliment for Xhaka's defensive short comings.Ludo Goretzka is very good defensively from the little I've seen but I don't really know much about his attacking qualities. But I also hope Arsenal does not forget about Mario Lemina. He's a complete
midfielder and to me has the capabilities to be one of Europe's best if
given the chance. He can defend very well and attack very well. He's a
player Juventus would regret selling. As for Goretzka I know he's very good defensively but have» t seen much of him in terms of attack. If he's as good as in attack I'd sign him.
I could have
given a few Arsenal
players the Man of the Match award for yesterday's hard fought win at Newcastle, with Cazorla's probing and patient passing as well as Oxlade - Chamberlain's direct approach and shot for the goal being key factors, but for me the anchoring presence of Coquelin in
midfield and his ability to keep the ball and his cool amid concerted pressure was brilliant.
Who cares spurs prop beat them anyway we are falling giant in bits everywhere team to da owners to da manager always up to da fans, club needs a big name someone who Sanchez will say hey great signing I'm staying I believe in this project but same shit every year some fans still think we're great and hope it be this year haha I no the way it is ahwell we go anfield and win haha draw be good result we're already playing catch up to Jose but they no we're no treat we're prop behind Everton like Jesé who scored yesterday could play for us but we got Walcott or ozil even thou I thought Ozick did some good play but to weak
gives up easy I honestly think if we lose Liverpool da house will fall down everywhere we need top defender and steel in
midfield and we need right winger I say van diik and nzonzi if not nzonzi go get hamsik worldy
player he is and go get wolfed zaha if not him Carracci of Atlanta Madrid load out there handily is da
player we should get thou wat lift he
give us
Let's get real here.It is very unlikely that ANY professional
player will ever say anything derogatory about a teammate that has just left the club.If Jack had said about Coq - «Grew up playing with him in the Youth Team and have fond memories of a
player they though he had very limited ability he always
gave his all.Very surprised and disappointed the club never invested in a World Class defensive
midfielder that we have quite obviously been lacking for a number of seasons and would no doubt have improved the defensive weakness we have shown over a number of seasons» we would have echoed his thoughts entirely. If he had said about Theo - «A
player who should have been so much better than he ended up being. He had everything needed to be a prolific
player for our club but I can understand the fans frustrations with his continued lack - lustre performances and total lack of a football brain.I think this is best explained by the managers preference to play a
player of such limited ability as Alex Iwobi in front of Theo pretty much says it all» we again would have all nodded our agreement.Although Jack never mentioned Alexis Sanchez I would imagine something along the lines of «If the Manager had not persisted with
players with such limited ability such as Francis and Theo and instead bought the world class
players needed into the club then Sanchez would still most likely be here. The fans must wonder what the hell goes on at the club as they pay fortunes for the privalage of following our club but it seems the millions generated ends up purchasing a new Texas Ranch for the Owner or in a yearly renumeration of # 9million pounds to our manager».
For crying loud some pundits are right, most fans are right.our decline has been the negligence from the manager to stop being stubborn and get an imposing DM who
give us solidity and confidence lost.the cbs are always exposed and lack of physical presence that other teams beat us in
midfield.5 years now and still we cant get one just playing
players out of position or sticking to
players who have not passed the grade such us jack, ramesy, arteta so get some money and do us a favor..
It will take Mkhi a bit longer to settle then Sanchez because we play a fast passing game in
midfield and Mk has to get to know our moves where Sanchez is an individual
player give him the ball and let him get on with it
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch
midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our
midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long,
gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the
midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's
midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense
given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will
give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
