An excessive intake of caffeine can cause restlessness,
mild tachycardia, anxiety, or inability to sleep; all of these symptoms will disappear once caffeine consumption is stopped or diminished.
Physical Examination: Physical fi ndings in dogs with acute pancreatitis are variable and range from depression, to
mild dehydration with signs of abdominal pain, to acute abdominal crisis with shock (
tachycardia, prolonged capillary refill time, tacky mucous membranes, hypothermia), petechiation, icterus and ascites.
