I can
still mileage run on United's deeply discounted fares, earn full mileage and redeem them for an incredible, aspirational product like their A380 First Class Suite.
I'm not sure it is worth it to
mileage run just for MVP Gold 75K as the cost / benefit may balance out, and besides, it's reported that the bonus miles will not be provided for status matches.
Losing access to free changes will be a bummer, but that can be budgeted for and is offset by saving money on
United mileage runs.
