military spouses and four veterans, is a hub of support for the
community and each other, particularly during deployments.
Since I have been involved with the Veterans
Community Store in San Antonio, I have learned so much about
military traditions and
military life.
Based on what they heard, Starbucks designed a new, more scalable
Military Family
Store program to link some of its
stores with nonprofits that connect veterans with rewarding civilian jobs and with valuable
community service work.
The
store sold men's clothing and accessories and helped him stay in touch with old
military buddies as well as establish himself as a person of influence in the local
community.
