In this report, authors Paul DiPerna, Lindsey Burke and Anne Ryland share the results of a 2017 survey of 1,200 active - duty
military servicemembers, veterans, and their
spouses to help policymakers and the public better understand this important constituency's perspectives on K — 12
education, school choice policies and the
military profession as a whole.
Through our survey of more than 1,200
military servicemembers, veterans and their
spouses, we sought to understand how these individuals feel about America's K — 12
education system, educational choice programs and more.
Active Fellows provided financial counseling and
education to over 18,000 service members or their
spouses in 2017 alone, and have spent more than 454,000 hours helping
military families reach their financial goals since the program's inception in 2006.
