And, despite returning to more refined flours and sugary foods, I did continue to make and enjoy probiotic kombucha tea,
milk and water kefir drinks that I enjoyed at least once per week.
I just ordered
some milk and water kefir grains from Cultures For Health, out of Washington.
Not exact matches
I usually soak oats in
water or
kefir and then add coconut
milk, toasted desiccated coconut, seeds, cinnamon, blueberries, nut butter, cacao powder or anything else I can find.
There are two types of
kefir:
milk - based
and water - based.
But one day while making regular coconut
milk kefir, I accidentally dumped my
water kefir grains (instead of the
milk kefir grains)
and about 1/4 cup of pre-made
water kefir into the wrong container.
The boys tested the vitamin C content of raw
milk, lemon lime
water kefir, organic lemon juice (in a glass jar)
and a vitamin C supplement (crushed).

Milk (CoYo or Soy Yogurt for vegan options), Blueberriess, Chia Seeds, Hemp, Buckwheat, Almond Butter, Dehydrated Coconut

and some kind of pastured or grass - fed meat.
Fermented foods such as
kefir (both
milk and water), buttermilk, sauerkraut, yogurt,
and kimchi are easily incorporated into your weekly meal plans,
and provide a number of health benefits.
Kombucha,
Water Kefir and Milk Kefir are all great places to start (
and tend to yield more successes when new to fermenting).
Kefir can also be made from various types of
milk, including coconut, almond, rice, seed, soy or dairy
and can also ferment fruit juice
and coconut
water.
* Add raw
milk kefir, or apple cider vinegar if making dairy - free, to the flour
and water.
Natural food sources of probiotics can be found in coconut
water kefir, coconut
milk kefir, kombucha, yogurt
and fermented veggies like sauerkraut
and kimchii.
Fermented veggies
and beverages such as sauerkraut, kimchii, beet kvaas, kombucha
and coconut
water and coconut
milk kefir are good foods to try in small quantities
and see how your body tolerates these as well.

kefir for a little while
and was reading about turning
milk kefir grains into
water kefir grains.
Navy beans, dried (1 lb) Filtered
water Chicken stock, homemade (5 cups) Butter, ghee, lard, tallow, grass - fed, duck fat, or expeller - pressed coconut oil (4 tablespoons)-- where to buy butter; where to buy ghee; where to buy coconut oil Garlic (2 cloves) Onion, yellow or white, medium (1) Green chiles, canned (8 oz) Chicken breasts
and / or thighs, pastured or free range organic, skinless & boneless (1 lb) Cumin, ground (1 TBS) Oregano, dried (1 TBS) Red pepper flakes (1 pinch) Sea salt (to taste) Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)-- where to buy black pepper Sour cream or coconut
milk kefir — where to buy starters Garnish: Cheese, cheddar, or Parmesan, from grass - fed cows (2 oz)-- where to buy cheese
It's probably best to alternate — make a couple of batches of
water kefir and then put them back in
milk.
Fermented foods such as coconut

and kimchi are extremely beneficial to the digestive system
and improve bowel motility.

Although
Water Kefir and Milk Kefir are 2 distinct ferments, they both come chock full of healthy nutrients
and probiotics.
Kombucha, fermented vegetables, sauerkraut,
water kefir,
milk kefir and yogurt are all good options.
I strained out
and rinsed the grains
and they were fine, but since I'd already dumped the finished
water kefir into the coconut
milk, I decided to let it ferment
and see what happened.
I also happen to drink raw
milk, eat lots of saturated fat
and intentionally eat bacteria - filled foods like kimchi
and water kefir, so there's that.
We use these heaters not just for Kombucha but for our JUN,
water kefir and milk kefir grains as well, depending on how cold it is.

and fermented foods like sauerkraut contain billions of these beneficial bacteria, enzymes
and acids that help keep the gut in balance.

milk my own Jersey, eat my own eggs
and meat beef, chicken goat; grow many of my own veggies year round, eat lots of cream
and butter, the fat on my meat, bone broth; within the last year have given up vegetable oils except olive; gluten free for 2 years; very little organic cane sugar say less than 2 - 3 T. daily, many days none; wine
and cheese of my own making, mostly my own
and daily;

water kefir daily; work at home is my exercise along with stretching; 90 % organix in everything.
I bought
milk /
water kefir grains a while ago now
and they are really producing some great
kefir!
