There are parents in the middle (like me) who allow flavored
milk as an occasional treat.
Not exact matches
Because low - fat
milk is a readily available source of calcium without
as many calories or
as much fat, a
milk shake would still be considered a junk food by most people and should be only an
occasional treat.
While chocolate
milk is fine
as an
occasional treat, drinking it every day of the week seems unwise.
Flavored
milk and sugary
treats have a place
as an
occasional snack forchildren but not at school.
(The exception: reduced - fat chocolate
milk, which my son and daughter enjoy
as an
occasional treat.)
Special
milk for cats is available but this is very high in calories, so should only be given
as an
occasional treat - never instead of water.
Milk should be given
as an
occasional treat only - many cats are lactose intolerant!
While the
occasional saucer of cream shouldn't do any harm, it's best to keep
treats like these to a minimum or purchase some lactose free
milk as an alternative.
