Sentences with phrase «mind over the clubs»

You AOB idiots will be moaning to get the next manager sacked when they do not win anything because the faults have not been delt with, lets get the real issue resolved and that is the clubs owners desire, if Silent Stan will not change his mind over the clubs objective then us fans should unite against that.

Even though most of the Arsenal transfer rumours about the ongoing negotiations between the club and the two star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil suggest that the main stumbling block over the pair signing contract extensions is financial, it will not be the only factor in the minds of the players.
Alexis Sanchez need to go to club with a more ambition unlike arsenal, cos he is a winner and he needs to win more trophy, he scored 30 goals last season yet arsenal couldn't make top 4, that's to tell u a tree can't make up a forest but till now what has Wenger done to improve the squad to convince Sanchez to stay?nothing, and u expect him to stay with those players who don't have winning mentality and a coach that lacks ambition, Sanchez don't need money what he need is quality players...... my gunners fans all over the world let's be truthful to ourselves, how many of us will still remain in arsenal fc if we were Sanchez, with arsenal transfer activities so far in mind?
Arsenal need to make sure they are satisfied with how, who, when and where they have invested their money into and it would be a great shame to miss out on a player over a few extra pennies (in the mind of a football club)
Inside the club Wenger is infamous for taking an age, agonising over decisions — unable to make his mind up till it is too late.
George Graham came to my mind yesterday.I don't think of the THIEVING B • • • ARD too often because I despise him for what he did.Stole money.Got found out.Gave it back.Got sacked. It seemed he was beginning to lose his way a bit and it was not to be too long before before he either walked or he was pushed. But the memory of him coming to us as a manager (from his first job at Millwall) when the majority of fans wanted Venebles (despite his obvious Spud past) was of a keen enthusiastic young manager who wanted the opportunity to manage this club. What happened over the following years would have earned him his own Bronze Statue if he had not got caught with his hands in the clubs till. But what an impact he made.
The Newcastle United legend's focus quickly switch to that controversial decision from Pochettino to shuffle his pack against Monaco with Chelsea in mind, while he also questioned the quality of the players that the club brought in over the summer.
modern football is all about a defensive midfielder who can be the one to cover the 2 CBs and not leave them hanging whenever a mistake is done in the midfield also if you can remember when we bought nacho monreal he was supposed to cover a position in the midfield and now is left back for 3 — 4 years and this is unacceptable if you see other clubs the build the teams over the DM so that the rest midfielders can create we bought this mess ozil which from day one he is not performing and not adjusting to BPL i don't know my friend i am speaking my mind from here in Athens so you who are in UK you now better than me and you can press for quality players
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
it depends — if you want the title then yes, because you wont mind paying over the odds to the selling club (Benzema / Aubameyang), if you want to gamble then yes of - course no one will sell to you so not available will be a good excuse to use.
just one question how can wengar justify paying ozil # 1.4 million a month on a three year contract equals over # 50 million.personally I think there should be an investigation into that one act alone!!!!!!! Never mind all the diabolical transfers he has brought the club
no one in thier right mind would believe this the club is quibbling over the valuation of Mustafi yet between Wengers fee which is around 8 million a year (for doing nothing) AND silent stans Business advisory fee of around 3 million (when did Stan know anything about football?)
I pay them no mind because they know nothing about supporting a club and they no everything about supporting a over payed manager
To my mind, being a good footballer very much includes fighting for the shirt of the club that employs you and I suggest to you that on that score, alone, Walcott has failed miserably over a very long time now.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
With this all in mind, Arsenal are supposedly looking into the availability of Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, although the Spanish side remain adamant they are not in talks with any other club over the German international.
Sad Sanchez wants out ozil doesn't no what he wants, Cech is old man xhaka very average player and my god how arsenal didn't sell bellerin he is hopeless no end product no strength bad passer can't cross da road never mind a killer pass so poor I said last year sell him and go buy Seamus Coleman or bring back lee Dixon it's over for arsene and arsenal and all them club rotten to the cure how bad is it when we lose I look forward arsenal fan tv?

Why can't people for God sake understand the angle the young man was coming from, this is a guy who has come out to suggest what he feel will be of great glory to the team, futbol is about winning trophy not the samba, champaign, tick taka or jambody style Of playwill be accredited to ur cv after retirement, every professional player will wants to be identify with a medal, mind you he have limited years to his career, therefore we should not allow sentment or affections we have for our various teams erode the basic objective of the game.we should also think about their future too, this guys are proffessionals which young lads are looking up to and questions will be ask tomorrow about theirs playing days.can people tell me why pele and some other famous players in the world both present and past are been celebrated today the answer is simply cos they are successful in their career and have trophy to show for it in their respective clubs or countries, why the complain in nigeria?its simply cos our team for quite a while now has not recorded any troph to her glory, fans should learn how to call a spade a spade in order to balance situation and also for better performance of the team.why then did arsene wenger hurridly went to buy more experienced players after the poor outing he had at the beggining of last season?this players know beta cos they are at the centre of it all, we don't have to trash what they say, we fans are only watching from screen, in as much as we beliv in arsen wenger, we should also know that without the boys no arsen wenger, fans should try to reason along with the players too.an hypotetical cases of similar to rvp has been tested by some players and have put them right over the coach and the team.so, whatelse does the fans needs to prove that futbol has gone beyond living in the past.for example, fabrigas and nasri were able to prove their critics wrong.thank God for them, we should always be objective in our submission, how else do we expect players to show their commitment to a team that was in 8 on the log table and later fought their way back to 3rd this boys are commendable and deserve to be encouraged, I think is high time the manager and the mgt board of arsenal futbol team get to know that game of futbol has gone beyond two teams domination, its now like a pendilum which can swing either way only with a powerful insrument called money.you can't eat ur cake and have.
