By putting your English Bulldog or
Miniature Bulldog in a crate, you are giving them a sense of safety and security and a place they can call their own.
Some still use the name Toy Bulldog in reference to the
modern Miniature Bulldog which is a cross between the English Bulldog and the Pug.
They were created when breeders tried to develop a new breed
of miniature Bulldogs, but because the Toy Bulldogs were never very healthy or fertile, they were never fully recognised as a breed.
After a short while,
these miniature bulldogs traveled to France, where they were highly popular and where they got the name of French Bulldogs.
Initially,
these miniature bulldogs were rejected by established bulldog breeders who were more than happy to sell the undersized dogs.
They were created when breeders attempted to develop a new breed of
miniature bulldogs, but they were never very healthy or fertile and the Toy Bulldog was never fully developed into a recognized breed.
The breed, commonly called Frenchie and
the Miniature Bulldog, was developed in Great Britain as a miniature version of the Bulldog.
Miniature Bulldogs have only been bred over the last two or three decades.
Over 60 varieties are listed as FSS breeds;
the Miniature Bulldog is currently not one of those.
Miniature Bulldogs are vigorous, playful dogs that do best under a strong pack leader, so early, socialization and behavioral training are important.
Another variation of the breed,
the miniature bulldog, is called the French Bulldog.
Judging by his smaller size and bat - like ears, most think that the French Bulldog actually arose from the toy or
miniature Bulldog, which originated in Nottinham, England, where he was used as a ratter in the shops of laceworkers.

This being said our english bulldogs look more beautiful & bullie than most breeders claming to have
Miniature Bulldogs.
