In fact, I'd run from the on that required
a minimum print run up front.
Before POD we had to take our print job to a big offset printer and commit to
a minimum print run of 3000 - 5000 books.
Having no upfront costs or
minimum print runs is something that has always set us apart.
Larger print runs are preferred, and there is often
a minimum print run.
For soft cover books, there is not
a minimum print run.
In traditional publishing, when the expected market demand for a book does not meet
the minimum print run, the book will typically go out of print.
