A study done by the American Council of Exercise concluded that doing
kettlebell swings had the potential to burn up to 20 calories a
minute.
On the other hand, the same study concluded that a spin class can only help you burn slightly less than 10 calories a
minute, which is less than half the
kettlebell swings burn.

The basic
kettlebell exercise is the
swing, a full - body workout we'll have you doing in your first ten
minutes.
Just get a decently - weighted
kettlebell — 32 pounds for women, 54 for men is a good starter weight — and do sets of 20
swings on the
minute, every
minute, for 10
minutes.
I believe in working with the
swing it allowed me to build the base to jump off to every other type of
kettlebell work — For instance I've been able to do massive snatch workouts, massive one arm pressing workouts, which are my other favorite work to do with the
kettlebell and set some incredible PRs inclusive of 200 one arm presses in 5
minutes and 7 seconds with a 24 kg / 54 lb
kettlebell.

minute drills and they work great.
Probably 9 times out of 10 I can get someone to
swing a
kettlebell correctly within
minutes and with only a handful of simple coaching cues.

Three continuous 10 -
minute sets of 10
kettlebell swings followed by 10 sumo deadlifts, with a three -
minute rest between sets.
When the time is up, move onto the next interval (
Kettlebell Swings and Jump Squats), and do as many rounds as you can in 5
minutes.
