I think you explain in one of the recipes (i don't ermember which one) that with 2
minutes in hot water was enough with them..
I soak the pitted dates for about 5
minutes in hot water to loosen them up a bit.
I used 1/2 cup raisins, soaked for a few
minutes in hot water, then drained.
While you are marinating the chicken, if you are using wooden skewers you need to soak them for 30
minutes in hot water (to prevent them burning).
