I and another editor did, however,
miss having a physical button for the available
seat heaters and steering - wheel heat; I don't like having to first press a button on the touch - screen just to get to the controls screen, then press a button for
seat heat, as this is something I use every day for months on end.
This unconventional and minimalist layout takes a little getting used to — the heated
seat button is easy to
miss (it's within the outer most air vent) and directing airflow isn't intuitive (you have to rotate the outer bezel until you feel it pointing in the desired direction)-- but once you're familiar with it you'll find other climate and
heater control terribly old fashioned.
Missing from the Clubsport (or CS) were such items as rear
seats, door trim, a parcel shelf, insulation, electronic
heater controls, the passenger's sun visor, a radio, a glove - box lid, power windows, and foglamps, netting a savings of 220 pounds.
Other features such as air conditioner with
heater, wider front
seats, door trims with arm rests, independent front suspension, windshield demister, floor console with cup holders, 3 - pod instrument cluster and 12V power outlet are
missing on the DI variant.
Tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment is also standard, along with Bluetooth phone connectivity, voice recognition, CD sound system with AUX and USB input, information display, a folding rear
seat back, electric folding wing mirrors, a full size steel spare wheel and a rear foglight.Stumping up the extra cash for the GTS adds leather - accented front
seats with alcantara (with
heater function), dual - zone climate control air conditioning, a six - inch information display screen with satellite navigation, aluminium - look pedal covers, LED daytime running lights, auto - levelling HID headlights and 17 - inch alloy wheels.It also includes smart entry and start (using a transponder key), front foglights, carbonfibre - look trim sections for the interior, a frame-less rear - view mirror, a digital speedo, full - size alloy spare wheel and paddle shift buttons on the steering wheel for the automatic version.The manual GT, manual GTS and automatic GTS get a limited slip differential, but the automatic GT
misses out.Both cars have the same engine and transmission combination.
