multiplayer missions available
during the open beta were, for the most part, fun, but I believe that was due to the underlying gameplay mechanics instead of the mode itself.

during the conference, this time with info that gamers playing the game on a Sony console will be getting exclusive access to certain gear, a
multiplayer map, and a strike
mission on Mars.
During the Open Beta, players will be able to partake in the opening
mission of Destiny 2, join up with friends to complete the three - player co-operative Inverted Spire Strike, and put guns to the mettle in old fashioned PVP, within two competitive
multiplayer modes.
In single player, you always get to choose a partner with who you can switch with
during battle, so when in
multiplayer you add another player to be that character instead, which is pretty fun and allows for some help in harder
missions.
Details are scarce but both modes tie together in that actions completed
during multiplayer missions will reward additional resources which can be used by players when they return to the single player campaign.
