This curry is a lovely
mix of sweet potatoes with butternut
squash, chickpeas, lemongrass, cumin and coconut milk.
The
squash are stuffed with a
mix of black rice, artichokes, cannellini beans, kale, almonds, lemon, garlic and thyme, and then topped with pomegranates and a drizzle
of tahini, to create the most delicious
mix of textures and a a beautiful blend
of flavours.
The wraps are made
of a
squash and sweet potato
mix, which is nicely spicy, but not overpowering.
For relishes, snail - juice, and a condiment
of the broad - leaved water -
squash were used with pheasant soup, a condiment
of wheat with soups and dried slices
of fowl; broken glutinous rice with dog soup and hare soup; the rice - balls
mixed with these soups had no smart - weed in them.
For packed lunches I normally make big batches
of quinoa and brown rice with apple cider vinegar / lime and salt and then do a big thing
of roasted veg — things like sweet potato and
squash cubes, so I throw a
mix of that into a tupperwear with some raw veg — things like avocado, grated carrot, tomatoes and then some hummus / lentils / chickpeas / seeds for protein.
I then make lots
of roasted vegetables, normally this is a
mix of carrots,
squash and sweet potatoes as I find these taste the most delicious cold — they seem to get more delicious stored in the fridge whereas other veggies can go a bit soggy.
Roasted strands
of squash mixed with hot creamy chicken, topped with melting cheese and served in its own shells.
Mix the cooked
squash with the chicken, sauce, and a few other key ingredients, re-stuff, bake, and then drizzle again with some
of that handy quickie ranch dressing you have on hand.
I topped these Gluten Free Chicken Alfredo Spaghetti
Squash Boats with a
mix of Mozzarella and shredded Parmesan, and placed it under the broiler for about 5 minutes.
They had no idea that there was any butternut
squash mixed into the sauce and one
of them chose to simply pick around the Swiss chard.

of extra veggies (zucchini, yellow
squash, red pepper, extra tomatoes) because I had them... and just wanted to say THANK YOU because somehow this meal accomplished 2 things I previously thought impossible: 1) make my 3 year old voluntarily eat vegetables (he ate every different kind, amazing) 2) make both my children eat a «
mixed - up» casserole.
I've read on other blogs that people, who are starting to explore these spaghetti
squash would
mix 1 cup
of it with 1 cup
of regular pasta, so you still have some pasta taste in your dish.
This reminds me
of my favorite quick / easy / delicious winter dinner: peel and cube a butternut
squash, sweat it with a chopped onion and some garlic in a stockpot until soft,
mix in 1/2 (or whole) can
of coconut milk, add curry powder, salt, and a splash
of sriracha to taste, puree the whole thing (I love my immersion blender!)
Kabocha is a Japanese winter
squash, and you might have had it as part
of a tempura
mix in a Japanese restaurant.

Coarsely mash the butternut
squash with the back
of a fork and
mix with the fromage blanc.
We also like to
mix different types
of squash together as well.
Put the slices in and sprinkle lightly with Accent, Sea salt, and Pepper and fry till done nice and crispy or Golden brown on both sides... then take 1/4 cup
of Mrs. Buttersworth syrup, I use sugar free... add 1/2 to 1 tsp
of cinnamon - sugar
mix stir and then dip the fried
squash in it!
To make the butternut
squash mix: heat two tablespoons
of olive oil in a pan, add chopped onion and saute for a 2 - 3 minutes.
Oh, and I
mixed in all
of the
squash and feta because I didn't read the recipe closely enough.
The
squash was easy to cut and tasted like a
mix of cucumber and zucchini, which meant it tasted like nothing.
Carrots can be used instead
of the Butternut
Squash or a
mix of both is good too, soup has so many variations and each has their own place within each season.
A delicate, delicious
mix of butternut
squash, vanilla and Gruyere cheese.
I poured in on top
of some leftover spaghetti
squash (with earth balance, basil, salt, and olive oil
mixed in) and it was amazing!

I obviously had to stick with something semi-healthy, but still full
of comforting fall flavors, so I made a quinoa risotto with
mixed mushrooms, roasted butternut
squash and lots
of parmesan cheese.
I didn't have butternut
squash so I used a 1/2 and 1/2
mix of acorn
squash and sweet potato.
In the past few years, I've fallen out
of love with it, preferring to the

squash with chocolaty things, or really just about anything that wasn't straight - up pie.

I first made this Coconut Curry Butternut
Squash Soup years ago — it was one
of the first things I ever came up with in the kitchen all on my own, and I remember thinking — wow, you can just
mix and match flavors and end up with delicious food?!
Mix brown sugar,
squash puree, oil, eggs, vanilla and 1/2 cup
of the soy milk in a separate large bowl.
I'm a huge fan
of butternut
squash, and adding red lentils to the
mix is such a wonderful idea!
