I changed a few things... melted the
butter and
mixed it
with the sugar and cinnamon instead of on top of the
butter... worked fine... shared

The secret is to cut cold
butter into the
mix with a pastry
knife so that the biscuits turn out flaky and tender just like the originals.

In a medium size bowl,
mix together the
butter, flour and brown sugar

I just checked a jar I had made then and it has a very thin layer of oil that
mixed back into the
butter with a few turns of a
knife and there is no think dry mass at the bottom.
If making the dough without a food processor,
mix the flour and the lard
with the help of a
