I followed the recipe pretty much to the point, just adding in a tablespoon
of hemp
protein powder (pure hemp) with the flour
mixture.

mixture as the recipes instructs, then add in 1 scoop
of protein powder and blend.
I also think if you do add the
protein powder still keep a bit
of flour in the
mixture because although the texture wasn't bad I wish they had been a little more cakey.
It was tricky to get just the right amount
of dates & syrup to hold the
mixture together (remember, it's a lot drier when subbing
protein powder for some
of the nuts we see in «similar» recipes).

Top Tip: For a bigger
protein impact, why not try adding a scoop
of your favourite

of protein in each ball you could add a scoop into the

After the workout, I immediately took a

powdered drink mix) as well as some vitamins and minerals (multi-vitamin, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, and an anti-oxidant).
My suggestion is to try mixing about 6 oz
of an unsweetened iced tea
mixture (preferably green, white, oolong, yerba mate, or rooibos teas) with about 6 oz
of a PURE berry juice (keep it to no more than about 20 grams
of carbs), and about 15 - 20 grams
of a quality whey
protein powder.
I've tried every
protein powder and nutritional supplement out there, and none
of them come close to the delicious flavor, taste and texture
of this non-whey, vegetable - based, multi-nutrient
mixture.

There's not enough room in the
powder mixture to keep up the
protein levels while also give you the maximum amount
of amino acids.
A cheap
powder, that in Europe is available at just about every supermarket and a
mixture of 60 % casein, 15 % soy
protein isolate and 13 % whey isolate, makes the expensive whey actually look worse: It has 1.9 g, 2.8 g and 1.6 g.
