As well as being copiously stuffed with a ridiculous number of mind - twisting puzzles, the
Switch version features touchscreen controls for maximum intense finger action in handheld
mode.

Switch version has some technical hiccups but being able to take the game anywhere you go makes up for it, especially considering the game runs best in handheld
mode.
Not incredible — certainly no 60 FPS, but instead it runs at a consistent 30 FPS, meaning that if anything, the framerate is better than what you might see from the
Switch version running in Quality
mode; there are less characters on screen in the 3DS
version and it's a much lower resolution of course, but in terms of playability it's not bad at all.
It adds some more to the package, with characters and
modes, but essentially delivers the same experience that you would find on the Wii U. New players will like it, but there may not be enough new content to warrant a
Switch version in the household for some Wii U owners.
The game retailed for $ 49.99 during its initial launch on the Wii U, and the only difference between the original
version and the
Switch port is the new «beginner - friendly»
mode starring Funky Kong.
The Nintendo
Switch version developed by Seaven Studio adds portrait
mode with touch screen and HD Rumble support, making sure the immersive and intuitive way of delivering the game's narrative through a fake smartphone interface is kept intact.
In addition to the new
mode, the
Switch version will also provide local co-op multiplayer with each of the
Switch's Joy - Con controllers, making the experience of playing the game co-operatively (and on the go) that much easier.
I didn't have a chance to try out this
version of the game, though it has been confirmed that the
Switch version will run at 30 fps in both handheld and docked
mode.
In this all - inclusive
version on
Switch there's a 100 stage Story
mode to keep you glued to your screens for hours, not to mention an additional 200 + more for those seeking an added challenge.
Journalists onsite at GDC have been lucky enough to try the game out for themselves, and have even noted that the
Switch version will run 30 frames per second regardless of docked or undocked
mode.
Unfortunately, at the time of going to press, the
Switch version is the only one not to have the Time Trial
mode included — a curious omission and one that would certainly have helped with the lasting appeal of the game.
The
Switch version will have a co-op
mode where one player controls Toad and the other can assist by throwing turnips.
As well as getting everything the
Switch version got at launch (story campaign, multiplayer, etc.) the multiplatform
version will also get the Grand Prix
mode that has been added via updates.
There are plenty of
versions of it out there, but thanks to the convenience of the
Switch console itself, some heightened presentation and a host of extra
modes to enjoy, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers may be the most complete and appealing iteration of the game for fans not dead set on an older release.
Additionally, Oceanhorn's
Switch version will include 60 FPS in both docked / handheld
mode.

Switch version of Rocket League will include all the existing features such as Hoops, Drop Shot, Rumble, and Snowday including Season

Switch version features the standard Arcade Archives
modes Hi Score (no time limit) and Caravan (time limit) complete with leaderboards which is a fantastic way to get more replay value out of it.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze debuted a few years ago for Wii U and this
Switch version is basically a port with some improved performance and a new Funky
mode where you can play as Funky Kong or tone down the level of challenge as DK by granting him extra health.
The
Switch version includes an easier
mode called «Funky
Mode», and makes Funky Kong a playable character.

The game is now listed on the
Switch eShop and provides some new information and also a new
mode for the
Switch version.
The addition of co-op
mode normally won't be seen as a big deal, but the way it has been integrated here makes the
Switch the definitive
version of the game for me.
In comparison to the PlayStation 4
version, Dragon Quest Builders on
Switch is reduced from 1080p to 720p, in both handheld and docked
modes.
While this
version may be more expensive than the current Steam
version of the game, it does come with the Plus 2P
mode exclusive to the Nintendo
Switch, but that only has six different stages to choose from without any other variations.
It was also revealed that the Nintendo
Switch version of Monster Hunter XX will render at 720p when in handheld
mode and 1080p when docked.

The controls are simple and work well even for the co-op
mode so it never feels like there is any compromise here for the
Switch version.
In more exciting news the
Switch version will launch with a new game
mode, Race
Mode.
Keep in mind that even if the game had lower resolution or a few graphical features turned off for the
Switch version in the TV
mode, there's still the issue of having to scale the game down to run in the portable
mode for the
Switch.
The Nintendo
Switch version of PAC - MAN Championship Edition 2 PLUS also comes with an exclusive two player co-op
mode called PAC - MAN Championship Edition 2 PLUS 2P for twice the fun!
Two new
modes, a new character, and community - requested improvements are going live for the PC, PS4, and newly launched

Switch version not only looks great in the handheld
mode, testing it out in docked
mode, I was impressed by the scalability of the visuals.
The game will come with a revamped user interface as well as revamped leveling mechanics for the console
version, with the Nintendo
Switch version offering motion controls and the ability to use 2 Joy - Con controllers in split - screen
mode.
This is the remastered
version of the game, and the distorted, fantastical environments look good — especially when using the
Switch in handheld
mode to utilise the game's touchscreen controls.
Local play is of course provided for every game and the
Switch version will receive an exclusive 8 - player tournament
mode.
Luckily, after spending many hours playing the
Switch version in both handheld and docked
mode, I can confidently report that these issues are few and far between on Nintendo's compact console, running silky smooth no matter how you choose to play.
It also has a pretty good replay value this time with the co-op
mode featuring mini games like the Kung Foot that has additional new features added for the
Switch version.
There will be a feature missing from the
Switch version, and this is the SnapMap
mode which allows players to create and share maps.
The
Switch version also adds a single - player hero
mode where you have to save a nest of birds from a forest fire; doing so will net you some more experience that will go towards unlocking characters.
Exclusive to the Nintendo
Switch version of the game is a co-op
mode which is perhaps a saving grace for those who may struggle.
I was worried that the performance of the game might suffer due to the transition to
Switch and because of the higher resolution in Docked
mode, which is pretty close to the Xbox One and PS4
version that run at 1080p.
Seamlessly «
switching» between console and portable
mode kept my workflow going along rather smoothly, allowing me to increase my profits a lot quicker than I did in the PC
version.
