I'm newly published via a small press and I'm trying to do a crash course in how
modern book marketing works.
Pete will kick off the day with a paradigm for
modern book marketing, outlining the three big «buckets» of marketing activity (B2B, B2C known, and B2C unknown), describing the 22 discrete activities that constitute holistic marketing today, and presenting an agile marketing methodology for using data and research to plan and optimize campaigns.
Additionally, we stress on such values as efficiency and diversity, which represent our view for the reasonable requirements of
the modern book market.

I have begun reading sociologist Eva Illouz's 2012
book Why Love Hurts and while I haven't gotten too far into it, and thus will likely have a lot more to say about, Illouz says the

markets and freedom to choose one's own partner has, made the search for love an «agonizingly difficult experience» that leads to collective misery and disappointment, which is then internalized by people — especially women — as a personal failing.

books onto the device is simpler on kindle unlike the nook.The
books can easily be downloaded wirelessly via whisper sync service (an AT&T 3G powered connection).

To find literary agent who has a good amount of knowledge about the

modern publishing contracts and practices related to television, film, or foreign rights is a challenge.

Finally, while
books are not - perfect - substitutes, they absolutely ARE substitutable in the
modern market to some degree.

modern author who wants to be successful.
Digital
marketing is an essential and easy to learn skill, which allows
modern writers to find readers for themselves, in a rapidly evolving
book market.
This
book goes into a long discussion of
modern portfolio theory, and the author finds MPT to be valuable, but needs to be supplemented by other factors other than the
market portfolio.
In Edwin J. Elton and Martin J. Gruber's
book «
Modern Portfolio Theory and Investment Analysis,» they concluded that the average standard deviation (risk) of a single stock portfolio was 49.2 percent, while increasing the number of stocks in the average well - balanced portfolio could reduce the portfolio's standard deviation to a maximum of 19.2 percent (this number represents
market risk).
