Loading up the included
Modern Combat 4 the game was certainly playable but far from smooth, and as a gamer smoothness is what I'm
looking for.

We saw some of the futuristic technology in play such as homing grenades, a grappling hook, zero gravity
combat and futuristic weapons that
look modern, but shoot laser type ammunition.
It probably does come down to personal taste though, I think Octopath's visual style is an anachronistic mess because to me, pixel art and
modern shader effects do not mix at all, and the reliance on these technically disparate shaders whizzing about without any real
combat animations makes everything
look significantly more static and lifeless than a classic JRPG to me.
Here is the catch, watching the video below, game play
looks very similar to Call of Duty (
Modern Warfare Series) in mechanics of weapons, graphics (even though this is a next - gen game), cinematics and
combat.
Combat and stealth segments in The Evin Within
look to have learned from
modern games.
Look to Call of Duty for an example — the series» transition from WW2 historical piece to
Modern Warfare, space
combat and back again shows this in a single thread.
So far we know of one game by Gameloft that was made using the Unreal Engine called March of Heroes but it doesn't
look as good as
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation.
The
combat looks like everything we remember, but with lots of flashy additions and updates to fit in
modern standards.

Anyone
looking for dramatic changes to the
combat is being unrealistic, but those who have already committed quite a bit of time to the online play of
Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops should find themselves fairly satisfied.
You just have to take a
look at what French company Gameloft has been doing in the past few years, taking popular gaming franchises and creating equivalents of them for phones (N.O.V.A is a Halo clone,
Modern Combat 3 is
Modern Warfare 3, Hero of Sparta is God of War, StarFront is StarCraft...) or taking Ubisoft staples into bite - sized chunks (Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Brothers in Arms).
Look for plenty more on
Modern Combat 5 as its release draws near, and by now you should know that adding it to your TouchArcade [Free] app Watch List will send you alerts on your mobile device as more news on the game hits.
I just felt like when I was playing
Modern Combat that sure the game
looked good, but it never wanted to beyond that to try and really make this game
look better then most other FPS.
Between the visual
look, the simplified and turn - based
combat and a soundtrack that feels like it's right out of the era it's emulating, Another Star manages to bring you right back to your childhood while giving you something new to play through and a few
modern gameplay tweaks that we've become accustomed to in this era.
Riptide 2 at top graphics settings showed a the occasional minor frame - rate dip (even though it appears to render in 1080p maximum), but
Modern Combat 5: Blackout, Mortal Kombat and Dead Trigger 2 all run extremely well and
look great on the high - res display.
What it boils down to is that on the Redmi 3S, visually - intensive games like
Modern Combat 5: Blackout, Asphalt 8, and N.O.V.A. 3
look better and run smoother.
Gaming I tried
looking for MC5 (
Modern Combat 5) but could not find it when I searched for it on Google Play, probably the game is not compatible with the hardware.

Being released for Android and iOS this fall, the next installation in the
Modern Combat series
looks just as intense as the 3rd and chock full of guns, ammo and bloodshed.
However, those
looking for more competitive games should probably check out Critical Ops or one of the
Modern Combat games.
