Recently, two science articles based on the latest research belies the notion, held by global warming alarmist proponents, that climate change is only a result of
modern human CO2 emissions.
Has
modern human CO2 emissions caused unprecedented, irreversible and accelerating global warming?
The chart's two ten - year moving average curves for the respective periods indicate a similarity that is striking, especially considering that
modern human CO2 emissions are many multiples larger than the pre-1950 emissions.

Of course,
modern global warming stems from a clear cause — rising levels of
CO2 (and other greenhouse gases) from fossil fuel burning, cutting down forests and other
human activities.
So, what does a fact check reveal of China's
modern climate change due to
human CO2 emissions?
But we are now entering a world with atmospheric
CO2 levels that never existed any time in the entire history of our evolution as
modern humans.
CAGW or Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming is the acronym used (mostly by those that don't support taking immediate action on climate change) for the theory (or collection of hypotheses) that attribute most of the observed
modern warming to
human activities and warn that continuing similar activities (mostly emitting
CO2) could result in warming that is dangerous to both civilization and a number of ecosystems.
The last 70 out of 300 years of
Modern Global Warming are characterized by
human - caused, extremely unusual, rapidly increasing
CO2 levels.
Modern human civilization has developed and thrived in the last 10,000 years during a very narrow window of temperature and
CO2 concentrations, a very small fluctuation around 280 ppm.
Richardson (2013) demonstrated that the
modern increase in atmospheric
CO2 is entirely
human - caused, debunking a paper by Humlum, Stordahl and Solheim that wrongly claimed otherwise.
I am not «denying» that a) there is a GHE which slows down outgoing LW radiation (OLR) b) that
CO2 and H2O are GHGs c) that
human activity generates
CO2 (primarily from fossil fuels) d) that atmospheric
CO2 has risen since Mauna Loa measurements started e) that globally and annually land and sea surface temperature has risen since the
modern record started
... growing
human CO2 emissions have caused a greater frequency of extreme climate incidents during the
modern era?
And this unprecedented warming of ocean waters occurred during a 30 - year period when
human CO2 emissions were some 85 % less than the
modern era (166 billion tonnes of
CO2 emissions versus 784 billion tonnes for the most recent 30 - year span).
The cumulative effect of all these adjustments is to build a better case that
modern warming is a result of
human CO2 emissions.
The
modern record shows a similar pattern with natural and
human CO2 production.
Since the beginning of the 1980's, humanity has poured some 860 billion
CO2 tonnes into the atmosphere; atmospheric
CO2 levels keep climbing (see yellow boxes); yet, the average tropical atmospheric temperature has essentially not budged (see red dotted baseline) over 3 + decades of
modern consumer / industrial
human emissions.
This location is often referred to as the tropical «hotspot,» supposedly an artifact of
modern industrial / consumer
human CO2 emissions.
Now compound this massive propaganda failure by the anti-growth Democrats with this week's latest climate science news from the world's premier science journal and a leading global warming alarmist scientist: natural ocean oscillations are responsible for Earth's
modern temperature changes, not
human CO2.
Suppose that on average life is a
CO2 drain on the air (leaving out the actions of
modern humans).
For the
modern period since 1950, an approximate 1.2 trillion tonnes of
human CO2 emissions were released, while the earlier period had some 200 billion tonnes - that's a 6x difference.
This 2016 study from China adds to the enormous amount of empirical evidence demonstrating that an all encompassing
modern «global» warming from
human CO2 does not exist.
