really forcing folks to work
on their rebound game while other opponents mimic human players in an effort to replicate the frenetic conflict which is synonymous with the DiscStorm's competitive multiplayer
offering.
Each
mode offers less and less intrusion from the Corvette's traction management system, until you're
really out there
on the track by yourself with only your own driving skills to rely upon.
While the A5
offers a sportier drive than its A4 predecessor, the S5 has the added benefit of a «dynamic racing
mode» racing profile, meaning you can set it free
on long stretches of road or take it around a track to see what it's
really made of!
It's
really a shame that there's no straight Team Deathmatch
mode on offer here, but the
modes presented are still great fun to play, and there's just enough maps to stop if from getting old too quickly, although a few more would have been welcome to keep things interesting.
Arcade
mode can be a bit of fun but doesn't
really offer that much longevity unless you
really want to get high up
on the leaderboards for some reason.
This is a game that you can pick up and play in either short bursts or long stretches (although save points are far apart, the «rest
mode»
on the PS4
really helps) and
offers a lot of variety as well as logical thinking and re-reading of notes to find your goal.
For the price you
really can not complain with what is
on offer here, the issues with the arcade
mode have been noted and Super Icon are looking into restoring the visual aids and seeing what they can do with obscuring the puck in Air Hockey.

What is disappointing about this
offering is that neither Tekken 6 (PSP) or Soul Calibur Broken Destiny have online multiplayer
modes (essential feature for fighting games these days), especially when there is plenty of fighting games for the Vita (Mortal Kombat, Street Figther X Tekken, DOA5 +, Playstation All - Stars, BlazBlue and UMVC3), It puzzles me that someone at the Plus team said to himself: I
really need to secure these 2 games for the Vita IGC, and then he pat himself
on the back.
The
modes offered really don't bring anything new to the table and if you aren't that desperate to need an excuse to turn
on your Wii U, you won't miss much by passing
on these
modes.
Sure, the more familiar genres allow them to use phrases and descriptions that seem like they're getting at the core challenges and dynamics, but many times they
really don't understand the gameplay enough to
offer any insight beyond «I had some options and I used them however I wanted because I didn't play
on a hard enough
mode therefore I think I'm being creative.»
It's
really the showcase
mode that you'll have your friends and family gawk at when you show the latest Star Wars
offering on a gaming system.
I also
really miss having a one - handed
mode, which most other Android flagships
offer, and I think is indispensable
on phones this big.
Where this game
really exceeded was the operations game
mode, spanning multiple maps with access to all the resources the game has to
offer makes me want to play for hours
on end.
