Recently I set up my mind on making homemade
molded chocolate candies.
Not exact matches
I use the
candy cup
molds to make
chocolate cups like this, I got a few sizes at michaels (I should try to find where I put them in my baking cabinet, it's a mess!)
Allow the
chocolate to set completely in the
molds before popping out the
candy.
To make the classic 3 - finger Kit Kat
candy shape, you'll need some specialty
chocolate molds (I bought mine at Sweet Baking Supply and Sugarcraft), but they're super cheap.
Brush your
candy mold with melted tempered
chocolate, allow to set, pour in partially cooled truffle mixture (or scoop up firm truffle mixture and stuff shape).

chocolate in a double boiler, stirring continuously, and poured into some
candy molds.

Use the squeeze bottle to fll one cavity of the
candy mold about halfway full with
chocolate coating, and immediately place a rolled cake ball into the coating.
Stop pushing once the
chocolate coating reaches the top edge of the
candy mold, so that it doesn't form a lip around the edge.
The small ridges formed in the
chocolate by the
candy mold can melt when handled for too long.
