money by not going back to work for 6 months, but I am invested in the health and other benefits of
breastfeeding (including those with longer - term payoffs).

Formula has
money behind it and
breastfeeding has only mothers, volunteers like me, who adored
breastfeeding their babies so much, and learned all about motherhood
by breastfeeding, that they don't want women to abandon it because of erroneous information, unhelpful advice, or lack of support.
I loved
breastfeeding, and to my mind it's a world easier than bottle - feeding (and cheaper — one of my friends figured she could make a good case to her husband that nursing two kids for three or so years had saved them enough
money that she could get a boob job to reverse the effects of said nursing), and most of my friends also nursed (although most were done
by one year).
At least in the U.S., the amount of
money saved
by breastfeeding over formula feeding is enough to buy a major household appliance (like refrigerator, stove, washing machine, etc) every six months!!!

by SCBC goes directly back into the community through events such as the Memphis Area
Breastfeeding Symposium, Latch On Memphis, and the annual
Breastfeeding Update.
Sales will be handled
by each entity and no
money or fulfillment of items will pass through La Leche League Alliance for
Breastfeeding Education.
Although I was curious about the claims that
breastfeeding helped you lose baby weight, and the idea of saving
money by not buying formula sounded great, I still didn't like the idea of being solely responsible for making sure my baby ate enough.
By all accounts, at least according to my original reasons for
breastfeeding, I should've been content — I was still saving
money and still giving the health benefits of breastmilk to my baby.
Also, we spent over eighteen hundred dollars on formula, so we're saving a lot of
money this time
by breastfeeding.
Now, instead of explaining the month -
by - month changes in fetal development and discussing the benefits of
breastfeeding, it's an excuse to throw together a bunch of attractive actors, tie their shallowly defined characters to a single concept — and, with any luck, watch the
money roll in.
