If we look at how much
money our
rivals spend, and we are supposedly up there with them as the richest
clubs in the world, then why don't we invest as much as our competitors?
With all of our main
rivals emboldened with new players and our chasing teams catching us up rapidly, with both
money to spend from BT sports AND ambition to match, how long can the lies and half - truths continue before either Wenger or the Board, or both, found out in the fact that the
money they are getting in (which by some reports makes us the 3rd or 4th richest
club in Europe) is NOT being invested back into the
club, and more importantly into the team.
But I think we forget too easily just what a great job Le Prof has done to keep the
club in the top echelon of the Premier League and managed to qualify for and progress from the group stages of the Champions League while having no
money to spend, at the same time as our
rivals were bankrolled by billionaires.
So it still seems that Arsene Wenger is unable or unwilling to match the
money offered by
rival clubs for our transfer targets.

club this summer, is eager to spend more in order to improve his squad before the window shuts on August 31st, with United being second only to local
rivals Manchester City in terms of

While our big Premier League
rivals and most other
clubs around have spent more and more
money on players we have not jumped on the transfer bandwagon and Wenger has often spoke about why he thinks that the ever increasing spending is wrong and perhaps even unsustainable.
This is the same
club that refused to sanction the transfer of any of their players in the other direction, so do they really think that a direct
rival should just roll over for them because they have more
money, if a lot less history and class?

money will be made available for new additions as the
club looks to keep pace with big spending
rivals Man City.
If the top players are tempted to China then I think it could help Arsenal compete with the big spending
clubs here, as the players after the really big
money will be over there rather than playing for one of our EPL
rivals.
But by mutual consent he's told his agent he wants to leave.The
money part will always be a factor even if he decides to sign.If he stays he's just trying to honour his contract and move on for free mostlikely to another
club in London.I wish we could know know his final stance before entering into the season because we can't allow him to go for free and strengthen another
rival.
For too long Arsenal were at the mercy of Spain's bit two
clubs as well as our main Premier League
rivals and any other
club that had a lot of
money to spend and a good chance of a trophy or two to win.
Its not about the
money he takes out of the
club or that he doesn't invest, being self sufficient is not a bad thing to be... its certainly better than being loaded down with debt like some of our
rivals owners have done to their
clubs.
Our
club hasn't showed their desire to spend the
money that our
rivals do, although you could argue that we don't have the resources to match all of our Premier League
rivals in the transfer market.
Even if we do eventually miss the title... we would have proven a few points... it wont be for selling our most important players, it won't be because we strengthened a
rival club; it wont be because a player became bigger than our
club; forced his way out; we would have proven that it is not all about
money / gains all the time; we would have had a coach who truly proved he is in charge and will not bulge to a player's pressure etc..
We don't
rival any of the top
clubs???? Sell him to the highest bidder and use the
money for tempting Mbappe to come to Arsenal.
With Arsenal having missed out on other signings in recent years due to similar penny - pinching negotiations, their fans will no doubt be urging the
