The first
month of my capsule wardrobe just wrapped up, and boy, do I have lots to say on the matter.

Typically, you wear a
capsule wardrobe for 3
months, then at the end
of those 3
months, you update it for the next season.
I spent the
month wearing what I bought and creating a
capsule wardrobe for the remainder
of summer temps and putting thought into my fall one.
It took a little vision, but I created a
capsule wardrobe, consisting
of 37 items that will be my entire
wardrobe for the next three
months.
I'm trying to organise my
capsule wardrobe right now because I always get carried away in cheap shops, and buy tons
of cheap clothes that only last me a
month or 2.

of discouraged, though, feeling like I can't get my winter
wardrobe to the size
of my summer
capsule and having to put a lot in storage for the summer

months now, but I still need practice... I am always cold, so I need a lot
of layers and I feel that this makes it harder to be minimalist.
The whole point
of a
capsule wardrobe is for people who are on a budget or dealing with minimal closet space (or even people who simply aren't interested in spending a lot
of time and money on fashion) to be able to stop making multiple purchases every two to three
months and still have a serviceable
wardrobe.
My
wardrobe more than halved, I lived out
of a suitcase or two for
months, relying on a
capsule wardrobe.
I made up a few boards which has helped me to shape my
capsule wardrobe, and found that sticking within these limits helped me to avoid spending money on random items which, when I looked back on
months later I had either grown sick
of seeing too much on others or just didn't like.
The end
of June arrived and I thought it would be nice to share my
capsule wardrobe ups and downs
of this
month with you... We gonna have a look at my most and least worn item and talk about the struggles and the good times, so let's do this!
If you're unfamiliar with a
capsule wardrobe, it's pretty much a «mini»
wardrobe of pieces you love that will work for a season, or a
month, or a year.
I will create a
capsule wardrobe around the
month's theme, complete with 10 outfits created from 10 - 15 pieces, many
of which you likely already own.
I wanted to make sure the
capsule wardrobe feels right to me after a few
months of doing it before truly purging things.
Prior to building my
capsule wardrobe, I mostly bought sweatpants and leggings at Target, which had the disappointing habit
of ripping or running threadbare after a few
month's wears.
I am so interested in the idea
of a
capsule wardrobe, but afraid that my creative juices will run out half way through the
month.

I did a
capsule wardrobe last summer for just the
month of June and it was fantastic.
I also like the fact that you've got colour and interesting patterns in your outfits — I see so many travel and
capsule wardrobes that are totally boring and nothing like what I would wear (I wear lots
of dark red, dark purple, burgundy the cooler
months, I love colours and patterns).
I'd like to do a sort
of capsule wardrobe — mix and match basics, maybe one affordable suit for court, to get me through the next six
months or so.

of clothing including shoes (but not accessories) and wear them for 10 days.
