a month of being vegan.

Sloppy Joes
are a family favorite around here, so I couldn't let a
month of vegan meals pass without creating a
vegan version
of my homemade Sloppy Joe recipe.
Until this
month, I never set out with the intention
of writing a
vegan recipe, but as I reviewed my recipes, I found that I had accidentally created four soup recipes that
were vegan.
I've
been trying to eat entirely
vegan the last
month and this
was by far the best dish out
of the dozens I tried.
With so many distributors present at the event, we have no doubts that supermarket shelves
are going to
be seeing a lot
of new
vegan products in the coming
months, especially places like Walmart and Target, who
are starting to actively stock more plant - based foods.
When «Childhood Favourites»
was selected as this
month's Sweet Adventures Blog Hop theme the aforementioned creations ran through my mind immediately... and in a fit
of not particularly unexpected re-invention, lemon custard ended up on top
of cheesecake and both
were made
vegan, soy and refined sugar free.
I haven't made a real pizza in quite some time — although last
month I did make a
vegan version
of pizza on whole wheat pitas with a
vegan cheese sauce I made from scratch, that
was quite delicious!
At the moment there
's a big focus on clean eating and gluten free,
vegan recipes, but I don't want to strictly stick to that now and then regret it in a
months time when I make a towering chocolate fudge mountain cake built on a foundation
of eggs and whipped cream.

months I've actually struggled to get hold
of this pasta (they do other bean pasta types in their range too), however I recently went to a
vegan food show in London and spoke to the supplier who said they'd had some issues with the EU allergy labelling regulations, but all
was now sorted now it should
be back in UK stores within the next few weeks... Yeah!!
Carluccio's
is going meat free for a

of eating — precisely a
month earlier in fact.
As promised for this
month of Veganuary, I
'm trying to up the number
of vegan meals I eat.
While some
vegans might shy away from the site for its meat - focus, there
are actually many great vegetarian and
vegan recipes to be found (Kenji even spends 1 month a year doing the «Vegan Experience» and posts recipes along the way), as well as a plethora of oh - so - easy - to - veganize
