Most of the dogs that are up
for adoption in these shelters were rescued
animals from the streets or from abusive homes, and through careful training and lots of love and attention, they are nursed back to health and are ready to move in to
more loving families.
In September, ARL's Dedham
Animal Care and
Adoption Center found homes
for 105 cats,
more than any month over the past decade, a sign that the program is indeed working.
