I played with the
recipe a bit, I'm currently doing aip paleo so I added cinnamon, and added a tbsp of tapioca and a tbsp
more of
coconut oil.
If it was soggy, consider making your
oil a bit hotter before you fry them, cutting back
oil in the
recipe (in the dough), adding
more coconut flour, or rolling the dough a bit thinner.

I do, however, usually use
more coconut oil and / or stevia or whichever sweetener decided for the
recipe.

more than a few of you email me over the course of a week, asking for a
coconut oil version of an existing OLC
recipe (that's laden with vegan butter), I couldn't resist saying yes.
I changed Hannah K's
recipe to include cacao butter, rendering the bar
more solid at room temperature and giving it that nice snap that chocolate should have, but you can just replace it with
more coconut oil if you want.
If you prefer a
more oily, glossy spread that resembles store - bought peanut butter, add 1 teaspoon of extra virgin
coconut oil or 1 tablespoon of regular peanut butter to the
recipe to make it a little oilier in texture.
You can use varying amounts of grass - fed butter, ghee or
coconut oil to add
more healthy fats to this
recipe.
You can add a bit of extra maple syrup to the Vegan Buttercream if using that
recipe too, simply make it to the quantities then add
more to taste per the notes and add a touch
more coconut oil to maintain texture.
I use it without adding other flours to it, but do have to modify

I used
coconut oil instead of safflower
oil, and
more onions and
coconut milk than the
recipe calls for (I really like onions and they are so good for you).
I might recommend adding one additional TBS of
coconut oil and a DROP
more of almond milk to make up for the missing liquid in the
recipe.
