The sweet apples and tart
cranberries were very tasty together
in these crisps, and a scoop of ice cream added just a little
more sweetness.
This chopped salad has all of that going for it and
more with bosc pears, sliced almonds, dried
cranberries, couscous, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, baby spinach and romaine tossed together
in a honey mustard...
Homemade
cranberry sauce couldn't be easier or
more economical to make so please don't tell me you buy the kind
in the can.
I originally made this recipe
in Jan 2013, when I just started the blog and it was a delight back then and even
more so now with bold flavors of
cranberry and orange
in a sweet holiday season coffee cake.
GREY Those deep blue - grey colors that look like starry skies or stones were mostly done with
cranberry juice and strong hibiscus tea, and some were dipped

What I love about this dish is that it contains accessible and affordable ingredients, can be made
in advance,
in bulk, has multiple textures, flavors, slightly sweet with
cranberries, slightly tart with tofu, won't spoil
in days, and will leave even your non vegan peeps longing for
more!

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, simmered with apples,

in the slow cooker until tender, this one pot wonder couldn't be easier,
more delicious, or
more perfect for this busy time of year.
I always get a little panicky when it appears as though fresh
cranberries might go away
in the market and buy about 8 times
more than I can use.
As much as I've been enjoying eating apples and pears for the past month or so, it's rather nice to see some

in the fruit department now — the season for clementines, satsumas,

I wanted her to have
more than one flavor, so I divided the dough
in three before adding dark and white chocolates and
cranberries.
For example, the chia seeds
in this
cranberry sauce give it a jam like texture (although it's a bit
more tart than jam).

I've been getting
more into sour lately and, thankfully, I still have some
cranberries in my freezer that desperately want to be made into these bars!
I made this
in eight -4 x4x1 inch ramekins... the only problem that occurred was when cooking the
cranberries until most of the liquid was absorbed... it just kept making
more liquid..
In a 3 qt heavy sauce pan, place 1 pound fresh
cranberries, 1/2 lemon quartered, 1/2 large apple peeled and chopped, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1/2 t crushed red pepper flakes, and 1/2 cup (or
more to taste) brown sugar.
Directions: While Emmer Farro is cooking combine and mix ingredients for the dressing
in a large bowl / Cook farro
in 7 C of water or broth: bring to boil, salt, turn to simmer and cover / Cook 50 — 60 minutes or until farro is tender, but with a little bite / Drain thoroughly and pour immediately into bowl with citrus dressing / Mix and let cool a bit / / Stir
in dried fruit, larger pieces chopped coarsely / Refrigerate / Before serving, sprinkle toasted or candied hazelnuts on top along with a few extra

If you have
more time, I'd suggest rinsing and drying the
cranberries and then freezing
in a single layer on a baking sheet before placing
in an airtight container.
So even though you'd probably consider this
more of a Fall recipe (when apples and
cranberries are
in season) it seemed fitting to open Summer Salad Sundays with this recipe as it finally gave me the impetus to make it.

Borlotti,
more commonly known

Cranberry or October beans, can be found at farmers markets
in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, sometimes already shelled but, if so, they are usually tucked away a bit.
If you can't find sour cherries
in your local food store, simply substitute
in more dried
cranberries and vice versa.
