I've
used pocket
diapers ONLY for my first and now I'm out exploring different options but definitely feel
more comfortable with pocket.
Cloth
diapers and covers that
use snaps require a little
more adjustment, since you're securing the
diaper with fixed snap locations, rather than just securing the tabs on a Velcro strip across the waistband.
There are two basic closures with cloth
diapers, whether you're
using a
diaper cover or any of the
more modern cloth
diaper styles: fastening strips, like Velcro, or snaps closures.
If your child is a heavy wetter, you might consider
using a
diaper doubler or insert to help absorb
more moisture.
Diapers that are
more complicated to
use at the changing table (prefolds, flats) are easy to wash.
Normally, a
diaper that is easy to
use at the changing table (AIOs and pockets) is
more difficult to wash.
For a Sumo - style backup (see my book for

use a
diaper belt and a trifolded prefold in a slightly larger size... this is
used for observation and can come in great when trying to get EC back on track.
Zorb II is a Zorb fabric that is sandwiched between bamboo / cotton outer layers, which means that it can be
used in single layer prefolds, fitted
diapers, and
more.
I prefer a
more trim fitting
diaper for day time
use, but I am finding myself reaching for the O.N.E. for night time
use.
While disposable
diapers use chemicals to absorb the wetness (
more on this in a minute), with cloth
diapers, babies feel the wetness right away and don't like it.
Many parents know waterproof or «wet» bags like Planet Wise Wet Bags can be
used for
more than just cloth
diapers; store hand towels to wipe sticky faces or hands, toss in a few rags for wiping messes, and / or dry clothes for quick changes after a day of swimming.

When my daughter was a newborn and we did nt have enough cloth
diapers to
use them full time, I definitely had
more blowouts with the Pampers and Huggies than I did with her cloth diapersand that was with one size
diapers that do nt always fit a newborn properly.
The
diapers» absorbent core contains...
MORE wheat starch, which allows Bambo Nature to
use less sodium polyacrylate (SAP) than traditional disposables.
This
diaper would definitely need added absorbency if your babe wets
more than a moderate amount or if you're going to
use this for nap.
And if you have
more than one child in
diapers, these can be
used interchangeably among the children.
