You would think that cracking an
egg against the side of a bowl is the best way to avoid eggshells from getting into your food, but that method actually splinters the
shell and creates
more errant
shells.
Friends, which is
more important to the recipe, the number of
eggs or the weight of the
eggs out of the
shell?
A: The first way to get
more collagen in your diet is to eat naturally collagen - rich foods, like high - protein foods, including beef, chicken, fish and
egg shell membranes and yolks, and homemade bone broth.
A long weekend of eating tons of chocolate and watching films non stop (this is actually a normal weekend for me, only on this occasion it's
more socially acceptable...) So here is one recipe I will be making again before the weekend, chocolate cake baked in

1/3 c of all purpose flour, unbleached 1/3 c of whole wheat four 1.5 c of quick cooking rolled oats 2 tbl flax seed meal 1 tsp of baking soda 1/2 tsp of salt 6 tbl of I can't believe it's not butter 3/4 c packed light brown sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 large
egg 1/4 c of pistachios,
shelled 1/2 c of dark chocolate chips or chunks (or
more if you like)
Directions: Saute chopped leeks and garlic in butter, medium low heat, until very soft — 10 — 15 minutes / Add 1 t fresh thyme if you have it / Mix milk and
egg together with salt & pepper / When tart
shell is done and slightly cooled, sprinkle one half of the cheese on the bottom / Spread cooked leeks over cheese, pour
egg milk mixture over the leeks / Sprinkle top with remaining cheese / Bake in a 375 degree oven until
egg is barely set and tart is lightly golden — 15 — 20 minutes, longer for a larger pan with
more filling / Remove from oven, lift out of tart pan base, place on a rack to cool a bit / Serve while warm / Swoon.
* 2 large
egg yolks, preferably organic and free - range * 1 whole

Keeping
eggs in, essentially, water for 3
