more your strength and growth will be negatively affected due to
excessive stresses put on both the central nervous system and working muscles, causing your fat and muscles to shrink down at the same time.
The two main causes of a «broken» metabolism — severe calorie restriction and
excessive exercise (especially
cardio), cause a negative feedback loop that «requires» you to eat less and less and exercise
more and
more to maintain your pace of weight loss.

more or less as well as it did when you were in your 20s.
