I originally wrote this as a guest post for Joel Friedlander's wonderful self - publishing resource site TheBookDesigner.com; it sparked a lot of great conversation and feedback, and it occurred to me that the information might be of interest to a more general readership.

Right now, there are two digital comics marketplaces: Comics apps such as comiXology, Comics Plus, and Dark Horse, which cater to serious comics fans and specialize in single - issue comics that are priced at 99 cents to $ 3.99 for a 32 - page comic (with probably 26 - 28 pages of story), and e-book platforms such as Kindle and Nook, which reach a more general readership and sell digital graphic novels for $ 7.99 and up.

What I thought needed to be brought out for a more general readership were some of the methodological problems involved in these very highly publicized discoveries that evolutionary psychologists claim to have made; things that get covered in the New York Times on pretty much a weekly basis.

I hope that I do not flagrantly reduce or dilute their thought in presenting my position to a more general readership than their own works often allow.

Second, would I be short - changing myself in terms of readership, potential agent attention, etc., if I don't include any biographical information or reveal anything about the author to the readers, but keep my content in a more general perspective, i.e. about the book itself or content related to the story?
