Women with higher density have a greater risk of developing cancer because they have
more glandular tissue, which involves a larger number of cells that can fall victim to the disease.
This is because
more glandular tissue is made with each pregnancy and breastfeeding experience.
I tried herbs during pregnancy, hoping to build up
more glandular tissue.
Subsequent pregnancies grow
more glandular tissue (on top of which I've heard taking Goat's Rue during pregnancy helps more) so I had more milk for my second.
While evidence is clear that breast size makes little difference in the ability of the mother to succeed in breastfeeding her child, it also seems to demonstrate that
the more glandular tissue in a single breast, the greater the milk volume produced.
Not exact matches
However, goat's rue has
more recently being recognized among IGT mothers (insufficient
glandular tissue) for stimulating mammary growth.
I have insufficient
glandular tissue (IGT) and I don't make
more than a half ounce to an ounce per feeding.
Large breasts may have
more fat but little
glandular tissue (and therefore low milk output), and small breasts may have mostly
glandular and result in high milk output.
Then, just when I thought things couldn't get any
more challenging, a lactation consultant told me she was fairly certain I had insufficient
glandular tissue.
Often,
glandular lactation failure is accompanied by one or
more preglandular and postglandular factors.
If you are a mother with a smaller milk storage capacity (this isn't necessarily related to the size of your breasts) or if you have a medical condition such as PCOS, Diabetes, Insufficient
Glandular Tissue or Thyroid conditions that may make your milk supply
more fragile, night feeds may need to continue for many months for you to maintain your milk supply and for your baby to thrive.

The second time around she knew
more, had done her research and realized that she had insufficient
glandular breast tissue.
After this time your body will still be able to produce
more milk when your baby is having a growth spurt, but the base of
