I was skeptical about the low
carbs being the problem too but since I've started taking supplements and adding some
more veggie
carbs into my diet I'm definitely feeling
better every day so I hope they were right and it really is that simple of a fix!

Well, these bars have
more carbs (in the form of nice sounding «organic cane syrup», etc.) than I would typically let my kids eat, and though I figured that the protein and fats would balance it out, the fact is that they don't.

good, lean protein.
I've just gone paleo, like, two weeks ago (after a brief transitional period of trying low
carb and getting sick of recipes using artificial sweeteners and crap wherever I looked), and am still very much in the reading - up - phase, and
more or less re-learning to cook without trying to focus on «substituting», but
more on using what I've got and what I know will be
good for me.
I feel
good on it though I find I have to consume a bit
more carbs so my milk supply doesn't get too low, I'm guessing around 50 — 60 grams a day, (I never did check on an app).
Without the extra coconut oil this is
more of a high protein and moderate / high fat dish, we want to turn it into a high
good fat, moderate protein, low -
carb dish.
Not all fruit is bad, but for those cutting back on their
carb consumption, eating vegetables like raw peppers, cucumbers or celery will do them
more good than eating fruits like bananas and grapes which have high natural sugar levels.
I am not one that can give up
carbs or sugar completely, so when I'm trying to eat
better I often find ways to make baked goods and desserts
more wholesome.
Along with
more sleep, it is time to behave
well again on the food front but I can't entertain the thought of any of these juice diets or
carb - cycling thingies.
I notice that if I do some form of cardio even just every other day, my body metabolizes any
