If your puppies have difficulty getting milk out of the bottle, use a sterilized needle to poke a few
more holes in the nipple.

The use of finger feeding with a syringe to push milk into the baby's mouth, is,
in my opinion, too difficult for the mother to do alone and definitely not
more effective than simply using a bottle with the
nipple hole enlarged and the tube coming from it.
A standard
nipple hole is dangerous at this age because it's bigger than slow flows and would let the child take
in more milk than he can drink.
If the
nipple hole isn't large enough on the bottle, she might suck quicker and harder, swallowing
more air
