A simple paper mache pumpkin was added on top of my DIY console table and
more hydrangea were added to the kitchen.

In the beginning of April we were dying to add some
more plants to our yard so we started with adding some pink
hydrangeas under our large front window.
Strung some lights, hung
more vintage shiny brites, added an old silver trophy filled with
hydrangeas and put a few snowy mason jar candles on the steps.
I have several tips for easy holiday decorating here but if you love
hydrangeas like I do (a flower that doesn't necessarily remind us of Christmas) just add a simple bouquet of seeded and / or regular eucalyptus to give them
more of a holiday / wintery feel.

I almost didn't keep the dress because the color was
more like cooked rhubarb than the
hydrangea pink I expected.
I might like the succulents in spring
more but still love those
hydrangeas.
I think I can now safely say we are definitely
more Vineyard people than Nantucket, but the bike riding, endless
hydrangeas, Cisco Brewery picnic, and Brant Point Lighthouse trip were definitely highlights of our entire week.

On the kitchen island, I added
more dried
hydrangeas like I have in my neutral fall tray vignette.

The color scheme is a little
more natural for a
hydrangea as they are pastel colors.
All it took was removing the garland and keeping the urns with branches and dried
hydrangeas to help it transition to a
more winter - y feel.
I added some
more white containers, just empty and a few pewter containers with
hydrangea.
But to me, it's no
more beautiful than a single dried
hydrangea bloom tucked inside a silver teapot.
You'll also notice the white accessories lend a crisp pop against the
