dogs, increasing the potential for a biting or attack incident; f.) do NOT cause the
dog to get
more exercise on the walk; g.) can cause a
dog to run away from you, because if you accidentally drop the leash handle, many
dogs will run from the plastic handle «chasing» them from behind and that could cause your
dog to run into traffic and die; h.) have resulted in injuries to
dogs and
owners.
Certainly a
more uniform, practical and humane method of regulating
dogs, which both preserves the safety of the public and focuses on the dangers and misdeeds of
irresponsible dog owners, would seem preferable to the status quo.»

Due to
irresponsible breeding you don't just get mix breed
dogs in shelters, if you are not prepared to get a mix breed
dogs most
dog breeds have a rescue society specific to that breed with
dogs being dumped due to things are trivial as it not suiting the
owner any
more or boredom!!
More importantly, a well - thought non-breed specific legislation addresses the root cause of most, if not all,
dog related injures and deaths, which is the
irresponsible dog owner.
Most of the stories, of pit bulls and other breeds, that make the news can be traced back
more to
irresponsible owners than the core personality of the
dogs themselves.
All concur that pet cats should not be allowed to prowl around the neighborhood at will, any
more than should a pet
dog, horse or potbellied pig, and that cat
owners who insist their felines «deserve» a bit of freedom are being
irresponsible and ultimately not very cat friendly.
Because the
dogs owned by
more irresponsible owners are
more likely to have accidents or pick up / suffer from avoidable diseases.
