When asking the health care professional why their pelvic floor isn't getting better, the healthcare expert simply says, «you should do
more kegels.»
Sometimes the recommendation to «do
more kegels» can be detrimental.
But
the more kegels you do, the faster you'll strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor, according to Fit Pregnancy's website.

as a pelvic pt, I agree with Kathy, it's much
more than
Kegels... and sometimes
Kegels are not even part of the answer, but to say do not
kegel and squat instead to everyone is wrong in my opinion.
Or does the resistance it provides make the
Kegel's
more effective?
The therapist on there says to squat
more and to give up on
kegels.
This may mean using
Kegels with or without weights, but it also means moving
more, squatting, walking, stretching and moving our bodies as a whole.
For women without pelvic floor dysfunction, there are
more ways — better ways — than isolated
kegels to keep your pelvic floor muscles strong and supple.
You can develop and strengthen these muscles by squeezing them 10 - 20 times a day or use
more advanced
Kegel training exercises.
Patients / clients will tell me they are
more symptomatic that day or even the next day if they over-do the reps (20 +) on the 2 - step
Kegel.
Eight quality repetitions of a 2 - step
Kegel including both quick flicks and endurance holds is far
more beneficial than 80 + repetitions without a direct purpose.
Kegels, that isolate the pelvic floor are only part of the picture and can actually do
more harm than good.

It's not just about doing your
kegels any
more; it's about training the pelvic floor to work functionally with the other core muscles.
However, when performed by already hypertonic muscles,
Kegels can lead to an even tighter pelvic floor and cause
more serious problems to occur throughout the body.
So one doesn't specifically have to think about doing the
kegel in this pose... But you certainly CAN, if you want the pelvic floor muscles to «kick in» even
more.
Second, keep MOVING
MORE and doing hip circles, glute exercises, and
kegels to promote general pelvic health and the ability to quickly respond when you need to control your gas.

I am having it evaluated by my GYN, however I was wondering if you have any tips in the meantime... I am trying to do

more effective with biofeedback?

kegels are appropriate for you and you decide to incorporate them into your fitness routine, remember that when strengthening your pelvic floor muscles, you must ALSO focus on strengthening the rest of your core and MOVING
MORE in general.
