at first i thought an online course, then since following along as you release your
kindle ebooks i've been thinking shorter smaller
more focused
ebooks on living as an expat temporarily starting with france.
The profit from both can be used to build an improved e-reader, which can be sold
more cheaply, which then means
more people will buy it and consequently buy
more ebooks, the profits of which can then go back into building even better, even cheaper
Kindles.
My
kindle is different though, and is a black hole in a different way — it's TBR is tiny and so what I find happening is that, despite having a mountain of physical books to get through, I end up having to buy an
ebook because I'm all out and need one on there for the times when it's
more convenient to read on my
kindle (sitting at my local restaurant so no one will bug me and ask what i'm reading)
If you are planning additional titles or different versions (like hardcover,
kindle eBook, i Pad
eBook or audio book) you might want to purchase a block of 10 or
more.

I have held the line at $ 9.99 since there is so much good stuff out there at that price point or less, but I resent having to pay
more than paper at any time for an
ebook, and I don't want to read paper when I have my
kindle.
We all know it's a brave new world out there when it comes to publishing — paper books,

Accusations of bullying and the exercise of market power are flying against both parties: Amazon has market power as a leading book retailer, and they are bullying Macmillan by removing their print products to keep retail
ebook prices low and sell
more Kindles!
So logically that also means it's the best selling ereader overall because there's no way any other company is selling
more ebook readers than Amazon sells
Kindles.
The only foreseeable advantage I see, other than making us nuts (which while fun, probably doesn't help amazon's bottom dollar), is to grow
more home - grown
kindle authors and to have
more people buy into Author Central, thereby, in the end, making for lower
ebook prices (which equals
more units sold) and no traditional publisher middle man.
I believe that their price point for
ebooks is aimed towards the fact that ease of purchase on the
kindle tends to make
kindle owners buy
more books than they would otherwise IF those books are safely below a comfort threshold.
The people who will then have
eBook readers are the iPad users who bought it because it serves
more functions, and they're less likely to buy the number of books that book loving
kindle / nook readers are.

more I think what really is going on here is the early days of the
ebook format wars, epub vs
kindle.
As
more and
more tablets and smart phones and comparable devices are adopted by the entire range of users, from high - end goodies to very affordable low - end devices, and now that
Kindles and Nooks are routinely being offered below $ 50 — and I suspect within 2 - 3 years, there will be sub - $ 35 Eink readers —
ebooks are soon going to be the only market that really matters.

eBook too much space is wasted.
