If you have already included single -
legged training into your training
routine, you will have realized, that if you use the same weight for the left
leg as well as for the right
leg, you will be able to do
more repetitions with one of the two
legs.
In addition to recruiting
more muscle fibers, multi-joint moves help increase the production of anabolic hormones, so if you want to build some serious mass, forget about the splits that have you training
legs one day a week and add
more of these into your regular
routine.
Once they become
more advanced, a split
routine (such as upper / lower or
legs / push / pull) can be used to hone in
more closely on each individual muscle with greater volume and exercise variety.

You see, there is another site I found that gets the sessions to around 12 - 15 sets, and when emailing that author about my personal push / pull /
legs routine in which I did a ton
more sets (interestingly, almost the same number as this article), they said that I should definitely turn it down.
i hcve 2
leg days one is squats sets of 20 down to 12 my goal is 6 to 8 sets till failure then
leg press 20 to 40 rep sets 6sets then ham curls 10 to 15 reps 6 sets my next
leg day is
leg press or the icariann plate loaded
leg press i do 50 to 60 rep sets with different foot positions every 15 reps, then 1
leg presses rest pause sets of ten only 10 seconds rest at this point i quit counting just go go, this
leg press session is a half - hour not much rest and no knee pain I'm not going heavy it compliments my heavy squat day my other parts are done in similar fashion, i don't consider this a heavy light split, its
more of a kind of heavy 1 day then moderate high rep next session for those that need a label i really feel this is awesome I've lowered my testosterone dose to 300 mg every 10 days remember im44 not 24 lol i can claim trt my point is i believe I've conditioned myself much
more with michaels theories but to take my body to the next level i need to add
more volume and excersise variance, i plan on competing within a year, thanks corey for your support i don know if we should post out training since its not according to michaels

Integrate
more squats,
leg lifts, lunges and calf raises during workout
routines for stronger knees.
Hugh Jackman and David Kingsbury would then end each
routine with static stretching and
more foam rolling of the
legs & abs.
If you're
more advanced, you can even incorporate
more challenging exercises like handstand pushups, one - arm pushups, and one -
legged squats into your bodyweight training
routines.
Add this type of workout to your weekly
routine to burn
more calories and work your butt and
legs.
There're probably many many
more, but these are the ones I usually do as the leading exercises in my
leg day
routine.
