multiplayer may seen a little limited at first with you only having one ship and Team Deathmatch against the CPU available, but reaching
level 5 really opens the
multiplayer a lot
more.
Yeah, that could be it, that manta ray
level was stupidly hard though to be fair;D Another thing to note is thanks to this generations «achievements» trend and the fact that online
multiplayer is
more popular than ever, there's other places to find difficulty in games than just the main story, so it makes sense to leave that fairly accessible and have the bonus / side / optional stuff for the people who want the thrill / frustration of a real challenge.
I expect
more of the same but with
more lavish visuals, engrossing locales, touched up gameplay and a decent
multiplayer; all at Naughty Dog -
level standards and I really don't think the studio will disappoint.
ME: A's
multiplayer just didn't seem on the same
level of fun, and while maybe that fun will return as characters become
more powerful,
level up, and acquire better weapons, it's just not there yet.
This aspect of the one hit KO, as well as the other game modes and team gameplay add a
level of depth to the
multiplayer which one could argue was lacking in previous iterations, making the game itself far
more interesting to play, and potentially the sort of game one could get far
more drawn into than in previous releases.
More to the point... it seems like many of those questioning No Man's Sky are the type who enjoy mindless, pointless, endlessly repetitive online
multiplayer titles, where the sole objective is to
level up ceaselessly to get the gear you should have been given from the get go, only to proceed to do what you've been doing all along... only now with upgraded gear.
