Basically, I'm devoted to my minimalist formula of mixing and matching existing
neutrals and throwing in a bright
color accent more typical of the season.
As the style matured,
neutrals remained the primary palette, but the use of bright, cheery
accent colors became
more common.
Usually I go for
more neutrals than vivid
colors on walls in my homes, but for some reason in bathrooms I've
more than once opted for brighter
colors that are found as
accent colors in the rest of the house.
I decided on the blue since I wanted to use red
more as an
accent color, and it would make it easier to change things up in the future if all the bigger things stayed
more neutral.
