I haven't tried the
recipe without the beans before, perhaps you might need to add
more oats or even medjool dates.
I couldn't find sunflower seeds, so just went with the
recipe as posted (substituted some of
more expensive ingredients — honey for maple syrup, different type of date), but will use suggestion of upping
oats next time to see how it goes.
I would maybe try our sweet potato brownies
recipe instead and replace the ground almond for a little

oats recipe, following the usual formula of one part
oats to two parts liquid (unsweetened almond milk, in this case), one part fruit (mashed banana), and a little something for flavour stirred through (a touch of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt).
Along with the digestive friendly fiber in pumpkin, this
recipe is also filled with rolled
oats and chia seeds for even
more filling fiber.
They cook for considerably longer and absorb much
more liquid so this
