attacking players lacking a defensive mindset..

Although Wilshere has not nailed down a regular position in his career so far, playing both as an

player in the Alonso or Pirlo mould.

he «s one

Andrew I know you still crave Reus, but with the arrival
of Welbeck, I can't see us getting any
more attacking players unless someone leaves — judging by how little play time they're getting, I couldn't blame Campbell or Podolski for wanting out, but I don't want them to go.
I will assure all the Ozil is never in the wrong brigade, the days
of an
attacking midfielder that is one dimensional are long gone, just assisting and contributing nothing else to the team is in the past, all
players now have to do
more than just waiting for others to fight for them, as that's why Mata struggled at Chelsea under Moanrinho and he is struggling at Man United too.
One

but
more importantly it should tell you that wenger no longer has a grasp on the strengths and weaknesses
of his team, or, indeed, what kind
of football he is trying to play... heard a lot
of people waffling on about the end
of tika tak... we never got there because too many first team
players lack the skills to do that kind
of football... ramsey walcott giroud merteshaker coquelin are not that kind
of player... nor do we rapidly convert defence in to
attack as we used to or press teams in their own half..
With respect, your selection has little hope
of being successful for a number
of reasons.Firstly, the back three lacks height and could not cope with set pieces.Neither Ramsay nor Wilshere are ball winners and without possession how can your 5
attack minded
players function?On a
more positive note I, m delighted to see Xhaka does not feature
3 -5-2 please Ospina Konslny mustafi monrl Ramsey wilshere Bellrn ozil miki Abu laca We'll have all our inform
players on the field and no allow them to go off the burner as well as get the best out
of ozil with getting Abu linking up with them and laca not have the pressure on him
of being the lone striker if we talk
attack as defense here is how we should line up for

I blame wenger for this because should have made subs at 3 - 0 either be defence or

In turn, aside from the setback
of losing summer signing Benjamin Mendy to injury, there doesn't seem to be a major need to buy

Cazorla was just skinning
players, the way he was getting out
of tight area surrounded by 4 or
more QPR

attacking..

Paulo Dybala was vital in getting their
attack rolling, and as the game went on
more players started getting involved as well, including a surprisingly strong supporting performance from Alex Sandro on the left side
of the Italians» midfield.
Up front we have a few world - class
players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished
player in our
attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been
more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack
of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the
players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love
of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both
of these
players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch
players, which should be the baseline test for any
player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste
of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment
of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an
attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even
more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make
more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think
of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
Wenger resisted, stating that he sees Wilshere as
more of an
attacking creative
player, which Wilshere has agreed with in the past.
Our 3 back is just so wrong. We don't have natural wingbacks even in this formation. It also seems to me that lots
of people here believe if you're good at right or left fullback then automatically you're good at RWB / LWB which quite frankly is untrue. That's why Oxlade Chamberlain can be considered at RWB but not right back.At RWB or LWB you're asking too much in terms
of attack from Bellerin and Kolasinac.A proper wing back can be viewed as a
more defensive winger which quite frankly none
of them are and they don't possess the flexibility too to play that way.Our midfielders are also not disciplined enough because in 3 back there's a huge gap in the centre
of the field that must be covered by our CM's so indiscipline only means disaster. We also have Ozil who looks like he's playing at RW in 3 back.In that we're limiting his impact because Ozil takes on his man because he wants to not because he likes to.You can't play such
players at the wing. He's a proper No. 10 who likes to be given freedom. That's why Ozil plays likes he's lazy on the ball and stuff. It's because he wants to be free and for that you need to put him at No. 10.
The dude needs to put in a
more consistent shift, but who wouldn't be frustrated playing with current crop
of Arsenal
attacking players
But I think it is
more likely that the manager is just not completely happy with his
player, perhaps wanting him to contribute
more in all areas
of the game rather than just waiting for a chance to use his pace and
attack.
Although, with Demirbay's natural role being a
more attacking midfielder, it's questionable as to whether that's the kind
of player Arsenal need.
While both those
players are frustrating, I find Ramsey to be the worse as I feel his best moments
of his playing career was in those few months alongside Arteta and he was looking like a contender for POTY already then got injured, that period
of time seen Ramsey put in
more tackles per game than Arteta (on average I think it was 4.4), he was doing the defending and then taking the ball forward in
attacks.
lacks intensity passion and increasingly skill... everton a good test tomorrow as martinez gets
more out
of his
players than wenger and is not afraid to play
attacking game... i just hope wenger responds in kind and plays campbell ox and sanchez upfront as interchanging
attacking force
if he had that situation last year he would have did it then too, thats what i'm trying to say, what you are saying is that he had changed from last year, but he is the same as last year, and to sanchez you implied that he is this good because
of the moral impact
of the new
players and i just do nt believe in that, and thats why i wrote about the 6 goal - streak, he did nt need a moral impact its just that we have a better defense so that the strikers get a lot
more opportunities to
attack a defense and not a packed bus after a lucky goal like last year

The swap in formation IMO has less emphasis on CM and
more around them and as such we need to make sure the
players ahead can do the damage quick and fast,
more of a counter

Mkhitaryan looked at his best under
more attack - minded coaches like Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel, and Mourinho has shown time and time again that he never quite knows how best to utilise creative
