on a supply and demand system — when you
feed more («demand»
more from your
breasts), your
breasts will respond with
more milk («supply» will naturally increase).
If this is your situation, you can try to make bottle
feeding more like
feeding at the
breast: let baby suck
on empty nipple first few sucks (like he would at the
breast before your first letdown), give pauses throughout the
feeding, and switch sides partway through the bottle.
And with lots
more skin to skin and time at the
breast every
feeding, he eventually was able to get the milk straight from me, despite never actually latching
on (he never had lip closure - but I leaked into his mouth as he kind of gnawed
on me.)

As babies get older, they become
more efficient, so they may take about 5 - 10 minutes
on each side, whereas newborns may

Plus, if you wait too long between
feedings, your
breasts can become engorged making it
more difficult for your baby to latch
on well.
By not exposing your sons — whether by breastfeeding them or having them see babies breastfeeding — to the fact that
breasts are made to
feed babies, they are
more likely to view
breasts only as sexual objects later

It's

If you are

My son was tongue tied at birth to it made the latch terrible I struggled for a while take him to the family doctor they will clip the tie as the hospital wouldn't do it for me either the younger you have it corrected the better and then mom can work
on latching properly and it should increase the milk supply it is difficult breastfeeding with a low supply and bottle
feeding the baby gets used to being able to get
more milk quicker from a bottle and then will fuss and not want the
breast just takes some time and when ever possible just offer the
breast he will eventually take it when a bottle is not offered it also helps to squeeze a little milk out so he can smell and taste it it will encourage him to latch
on and eat also some woman can pump and some can't I have a problem pumping I can maybe get an once from each
breast and that is if I'm lucky
