Post my San Fran spree I've been rather naughty and invested in a few new Autumn
pieces, these trousers (in this colour too, I love the cut so much it really seems to work
on a curvy figure), a
classic pair of jeans (it was about time I bought something a little
more fitted & gave the mom jeans a rest) and this roll neck sweater (i really want this knitted jumper when it's out too).
I agree, it makes
more sense to splurge
on items that are
classic or that you know for sure you'll get plenty of use out of, which doesn't typically include trendier
pieces.
And I have such a weird mix of statement and
more delicate /
classic pieces and gravitate toward one or the other depending
on what I'm wearing:)

on trends but instead
more classic pieces.
I tend to rely
on classic pieces for my everyday wardrobe but like to be a bit
more fun, flirty and festive for my trips to Puerto Vallarta.
In the winter, I tend to invest in a handful of
classic, lifelong coats, knitwear and boots and wear them to death, whereas once it warms up I like to be a bit
more frivolous, looking to the high street and vintage stores for carefree, throw -
on pieces that can get covered in sand, mud and grass stains and I don't really care.

Then, we get the next trendy item, and the cycle repeats and goes

on and well, you get the point... So I have decided to try adding
more neutrals and

pieces.
Also, I always try and look for

on them which tend to make them feel a little
more high end to me.
I tend to buy trendy
pieces on sale and spend
more on classics.
When it comes to building a wardrobe I have learnt over the years & from the wise words of my mum that the best &
more sensible way is to build a wardrobe based
on classic pieces.
Something I've noticed is that I've been stocking up
on more classic pieces versus those trendy
pieces that can be worn for only season.

more on the casual side with lots of
